Commercial network infrastructure

Structured cabling connects workstations, phones, printers, access points, cameras and network equipment back to the rack. ICS plans and installs voice and data cabling for commercial, industrial and retail spaces, with attention to the parts that make later service work easier: pathways, termination, labeling and organization.

What we can install

  • New drops for desks, phones, printers, access points, cameras and other networked equipment.
  • CAT5e, CAT6 and CAT6A runs selected around the equipment and the site conditions.
  • Patch panels, rack-side termination, labeling and cleanup for a clearer physical network.

Plan the runs around the space

  • A usable plan starts with where people and equipment will actually be located. Cable pathways, ceilings, rack position, device count and building access all affect the work.
  • ICS can coordinate the physical cabling with your IT provider, general contractor or project team when those people are already involved.

Projects that often need this work

  • Office moves, renovations and new commercial suites.
  • New retail, warehouse and industrial spaces.
  • Additional drops or a reorganization of an existing installation.

Useful before we quote

  • Site location
  • Approximate drop count or device locations
  • Floor plan or photos when available
  • Rack or telecom-room location and access restrictions

Questions customers ask

Can ICS add drops to an existing network?

Often. The existing pathways, rack capacity and condition of the current cabling should be reviewed before the new runs are planned.

Is labeling part of the installation?

Labeling and organization can be included in the scope. The exact approach is confirmed with the project requirements.

Can ICS work with our IT provider?

Yes. ICS can coordinate the physical cabling and infrastructure work with the people responsible for switches, firewalls, phones or other network equipment.

Adding drops or starting a new cabling run?

Send the location, the areas that need connections and any floor plan or photos you have. That is enough to start the conversation.
