Commercial network infrastructure
Business Wi-Fi depends on the space and the wired network behind it. Access-point placement, user density, building materials, cable routes, rack capacity and the existing equipment all need to be considered together. ICS handles the physical infrastructure that supports the wireless plan.
Office, warehouse and retail layouts are different
Enclosed offices, high ceilings, shelving, concrete and customer areas can change where access points belong. A generic spacing rule is not a substitute for looking at the floor plan.
Plan the wired side before the ceiling closes
Each access point needs a reliable network path to the appropriate equipment. Cable routes, drop locations, patch-panel space and switch capacity should be part of the same conversation.
Useful before we quote
- Floor plan or photos
- Approximate user and device count
- Current equipment and problem areas
- Planned access-point locations or the areas that need better coverage
Questions customers ask
Can ICS cable new Wi-Fi access points?
Yes. Commercial Wi-Fi infrastructure can include the new network drops and rack-side work required for access-point locations.
Does faster internet automatically fix poor Wi-Fi?
Not always. Coverage can also be affected by access-point placement, wired infrastructure, network design and the physical space.
Planning new access points or dealing with coverage issues?
Send a floor plan or describe the areas that are difficult to serve. ICS can help separate the wireless question from the cabling work behind it.
